The Greensboro Edward McKay’s Is Making a Big Move!31 Mar

You’ve heard the rumors — you’ve read the stories in the Greensboro News & Record (thanks Michelle Jarboe!) — and we’re here to tell you it’s true: Edward McKay Used Books & More is moving, the better to feed your head! Don’t fret; we’re not going far, just a few steps away to 1607 Battleground Avenue. Our phone number will remain the same: (336) 274-4448.

This new location is going to be much larger than the original. Our new home will feature larger aisles for easier shopping. We’ll also be adding new sections (vinyl records, anyone?) and making more room for your old favorites.

Of course, a move this big will be bumpy for a little while. We’ll be open at our CURRENT location — that is, 1410 Mill Street — through April 24. For the week preceding this date — April 17 through 23 — we’ll be doing limited buys from the public. Incoming buys will be limited to 2 medium-sized boxes OR 5 grocery bags of merchandise per visit. If you bring in more merchandise than that we will turn it away until after our move. Please keep this in mind – we’re not going to buy a lot because we don’t want to move it.

In order to move everything we will have to be closed for a few days. We will be closed April 25, April 26, and April 27. We will reopen bright and early at 9am on Friday, April 28th. Come join us!
